Problem of the Week 3

Directions: To order the crown molding trim for two basement recreation rooms, a contractor must calculate the total length of trim needed. To do this, the contractor calculates the perimeter of each room. Your job is to calculate the perimeter of both rooms.

Note: The perimeter can be calculated using the given measurements even though the measurements of some sides are not given.



Your solution will consist of drawing the first room using a ruler or straightedge. You will then write a paragraph explaining how to calculate the perimeter. You will then draw the second room with a ruler or straightedge and write a second parargraph explaining how you calculated the perimeter of the second room. All calculations and mathematical notation should be perfect.
