Chapter 13: Beverage Costing Worksheet

Beverage Cost Percent: The Beverage Cost Percent is a comparison between the cost of making a beverage and the price at which you sell it.

Note: Beverage Cost Percent and Food Cost Percent are very similar ideas.

Introducing... The Beverage Cost Percent Triangle!
$$\mbox{Beverage Cost %}=\frac{\mbox{Cost per Beverage}}{\mbox{Selling Price}}\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\, \mbox{Selling Price}=\frac{\mbox{Cost per Beverage}}{\mbox{Beverage Cost %}}$$ $$\mbox{Cost per Beverage}=\mbox{Beverage Cost %} \cdot \mbox{Selling Price}$$

In Case You Didn't Notice... this is essentially the food cost triangle, except that we're dealing with volumes of liquids rather than weights of food items.

The Situation: is catering a dinner party for the organizers of Lebowski Fest and will be serving $200$ guests a White Russian cocktail. (Of course!) Each White Russian calls for $1.5$ fluid ounces of Kahlua. Due to the size and nature of the event, has decided to purchase $0.75$-liter bottles.
